This costume was woven in Germany during the war in a displaced persons camp with the materials available at the time.  It was later taken to North America.  The colours are sombre and only the skirt, blouse and aprons were available to be photographed.  This costume has two aprons, one black with horizontal stripes and the other bright blue.
